All FC Tigers personnel, including coaches, administrative staff, or volunteers shall adhere to a series of steps at the beginning of their professional relationship with the club, as well as maintenance of all certifications and compliance with club policies. The following criteria must be met for staff and volunteers who are working with players of ALL ages:

  1. A Criminal Record Check, via the com online system or the RCMP. (Valid for 3 years.)
  2. Presentation of coaching qualifications, depending on position or league requirements.
  3. Completion of the Make Ethical Decisions (MED) multi-sport module in the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) (coach or volunteer coach)
  4. Completion of the Respect in Sport Module for Activity Leaders

In addition to these technical training modules, staff will familiarize themselves with club policies available on the club website, including the Code of Conduct, Rule of Two, Harassment, Anti-bullying, Safe Sport, Inclusion and Concussion policies.

All employees are also expected to familiarize themselves with the “British Columbia Universal Code of Conduct (BCUCC)” and the “Canada Soccer Guide to Safety”. Both documents provide a comprehensive guide to creating safe sport spaces for all FC Tigers players, parents and colleagues.

For questions related to personnel issues or general knowledge of these policies, please contact the Technical Director or Club President.
